Subject: Response to Reginald Littlebrave Sr. and Wambli-Ho
From Bernard Red Cherries, Jr.;
We are deeply saddened to see Wambli-Ho's continued attempts to undermine our efforts as Cheyenne and Arapaho Spiritual Leaders to protect the Sacred Traditions of our people.
Although the Lakota present at the meeting decided not to join us in our efforts, it is surprising that they have chosen to stand against us.
The Lakota themselves have attempted several times to protect their own Sacred ways through the http://www.lakotaoyate.com/declaration.htm">"Declaration of War" and the "http://www.ouachitalk.com/pineridge.htm" Pine Ridge Ordinance 98-25; an Ordinance of the Oglala Sioux Tribal Council of the Oglala Sioux Tribe.
Obviously none of the previous attempts have been successful since the traditional ways of the Lakota are probably the most abused.
We wish the Lakota well in their efforts to protect their own Sacred ways and respectfully request that those Lakota who do not agree not interfere in our efforts to protect our traditional ways.
We will not engage in a mud slinging contest on the internet but we do ask in a good and traditional way that anyone reading this post pray for Reginald Littlebrave Sr. and the Staff of Wambli-Ho.
Bernard Red Cherries, Jr.; Ceremonially recognized as an Elder; one of four Northern Cheyenne Arrow Priests, among the highest holy people of the Cheyenne Nation; Cheyenne Sundance Priest; Elkhorn Scraper Society Headman
