A meeting will be held in Ethetee, Wyoming on the Arapaho Reservation with the U.S. Forestry Service in November. Representatives from the Forest service will meet with Ceremonial leaders from the Cheyenne, Arapaho and Sicangu Lakota representative Leland Littledog.

The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss their policy of the recreational use permit process it has been utilizing for Sundances that are held on their U.S. forestry property by non-Natives, and by those not sanctioned by tribes they claim gave them the ways. This meeting is an on going move headed by Northern Cheyenne Bernard Red Cherries Jr, to address the issue of abuse and exploitation by non-natives such as Steven McCullough, and Arthur Sonier, both from Indiana.

This meeting will be a time for the Traditional Tribally recognized valid and legitimate Spiritual leaders to address their concerns and ask the U.S. Forestry officials to consider the unwritten customary traditional laws that govern their sacred ceremonies and ways of life. This is an effort to preserve what we have left for "our future generations". An early December date is being considered.

We ask for your prayers for those leaders who are holding fast to these sacred ways, and have yet to fall prey to the white man's money.

We are aware of the gossip that has been created to discredit these traditional Spiritual leaders who are holding fast and refuse to fall prey to the white man's money. We extend our gratitude to everyone who has remained steadfast and supportive of those Spiritual leaders who have been targeted with false rumors by those who exploit sacred ceremonies.

                                      Respectfully,

                                 Manuel Redwoman
                          Northern Cheyenne, Lakota, Arapaho
