STATEMENT BY
BERNARD RED CHERRIES - December 2003
The summer of 2003 the first summer after the ceremonial protection meetings yielded very little results of those leaders present at most meetings, this is sad because as the Whiteman says history remembers and tells all.
I am continuing this efforts to protect and preserve our ceremonial ways of life, and as I've always said anyone can benefit in its sacredness, but only those with the Proper teachings, and ceremonial rights can direct and lead "our" sacred ceremonies, and those who speak the language of their nations who follow their Nations sacred ways of life.
Another meeting is being planned at this time and will be announced soon, calling to council those who have held fast and honored the Sacred ways of their people, to continue to move in the direction of preserving and protection of "Our' Sacred ceremonial ways of life.
