According to a phone call to Wambli Ho News yesterday from David Swallow, jr., there will be a Meeting for all Spiritual Leaders, Sundancers, C'anunpa Carriers, and the General Public on Thursday and Friday, September 16 and 17, 2004 starting at 9am each day. It will be held at the Round Building at Wounded Knee, South Dakota on the Pine Ridge Reservation.
Topics will include:
1. The proposed legislation regulating the mining, use, and possession of pipestone and the possession of a sacred c'anunpa.
and
2. Protection of Ceremonies issues
3. IRA (Indian Religion Act) and the BIA (Bureau of Indian Affairs of the Federal Government)
4. Concerns of the people
